Enabling distributed system development with Kubernetes

SPEAKER: Brendan Burns, Google

HOST: Andrew Warfield

ABSTRACT

As containers have taken over the packaging and deployment of software, there has naturally been a rise in cluster management systems to handle cluster level application deployment and maintenance.  I will give an overview of the Google Kubernetes open source cluster management system and how it moves beyond simply scheduling work onto nodes and attempts to become an infrastructure and library for making the development of distributed systems reliable, scalable distributed systems easier.
