CS Professor Ivan Beschastnikh Helps Launch Blockchain Training Program with the NSERC CREATE grant

UBC Computer Science Assistant Professor Ivan Beschastnikh is part of an inter-disciplinary, campus-wide Blockchain@UBC team that will launch Canada's first blockchain and distributed ledger technology training path for UBC graduate students. Under the leadership of Associate Professor Victoria Lemieux (iSchool), the team successfully received an NSERC CREATE grant to sponsor this effort. The team will also work with MITACS and 15 industry partners to provide students with cutting edge tools to analyze and apply blockchain solutions in business, social, and technical settings.

The training program will officially launch in January 2020. For more information, visit https://blockchain.ubc.ca/
