Arvind Gupta Awarded 2012 Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal

Arvind Gupta, the CEO & Scientific Director of Mitacs and professor at UBC Department of Computer Science, is the recipient of the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.  He was among the 15 Canadians awarded the medals by the Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway, at a ceremony at the Liu Institute for Global Issues at the UBC.  "To mark Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s 60th anniversary of her accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada, a commemorative medal was created to recognize the Queen and Canadians who have
shown selfless devotion to their fellow citizens and country." More information can be found here.
