We are looking for a passionate, kind, and ambitious individual to join our Information Systems, Portfolio Management Development team! The team is a friendly, collaborative, tight knit group that work together to effectively apply technology to complex investment data and analytic problems that has been a key factor to the firm’s success. The Portfolio Management Development team is responsible for the high-performance platform on which other teams build intelligent investment processes. Our high performance in-memory KDB systems track a large universe of over 50,000 potential investments and performs meaningful analytics to our $96 billion of assets.

What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain our Microsoft Azure data analytics platform
  • Collaborate with the team to innovate underlying infrastructure, processes, and systems
  • Utilize and enhance large-scale high-performance time series KDB databases
  • Maintain and oversee the software development life cycle

What You Bring­­

  • Knowledge – You have an undergraduat­­e degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or similar. 
  • Experience – 2+ years of Microsoft Azure and Data Engineering experience. KDB+ experience is an asset.
  • Continuous Improvement – You love to make things better, whether it’s a technical problem, business process enhancement, or improvement to a particular workflow.
  • Collaborative Communication – You are collaborative, you like people as much as you like technology, you work well with others and communicate effectively.
  • Problem Solving Skills – You possess an analytical mind, enjoy solving problems, and have an ability to perform deep thoughtful analysis to discover solutions.

  • Operational Excellence – You have an approach and track record in achieving operational excellence where personal drive, high quality work, and getting things done are critical success factors.
  • Interest in Investment Management – An interest in learning the details of a broad range of asset classes is an advantage to succeed in this role. 

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000.  The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation.  In addition, there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation of this position.
