About Marie Klawe

Maria Klawe is ranked 17 on Fortune's World's 50 Greatest Leaders and is featured on the White House's Women in Stem website.

Since 2007, Maria Klawe has been the president of Harvey Mudd College. Prior to joining Harvey Mudd, Klawe was the dean of engineering at Princeton University, and before that, Klawe pioneered strategies to support women and underrepresented groups in science and engineering here at the University of British Columbia. She served as dean of science from 1998 to 2002, vice president of student and academic services from 1995 to 1998, and head of the Department of Computer Science from 1988 to 1995.
