CPSC 404 101 2020W

In Fall 2020, we will be running this course online.  There will be real-time lectures, and they'll be recorded.  We'll tentatively use a clicker-based system for in-class clicker questions, and have both pre-class and in-class exercises.  Normally, we write closed-book midterms (3 @ 75 minutes each), but we'll replace those with online quizzes (possibly open book), and some papers and/or additional exercises.  These quizzes will scheduled online during your lecture time.  The required chapters from the textbook will be available for purchase in e-book form, at a greatly reduced price over the cost of the full e-book; but, you're welcome to purchase the complete e-book or the hardcover version (we use the same textbook as for CPSC 304).  We will use Canvas for most of the class materials.  I am in the process of creating a course outline; it needs to change a fair bit from the in-person terms.
