As a student, being so green in this field, it can be difficult to stand out in front of a crowd. A simple solution to this would to provide an e-portfolio with your job applications. While I've heard from many students about the fear of not having significant projects to display, a portfolio can be as simple as showcasing about yourself or the work you have done. These work may include descriptions of the project, the progress of how the project was completed, what you have learned, incompleted projects or the actual code of the project.
