CS Undergraduate Student Giulia Mattia Receives Two BC Tech Awards

Computer Science undergraduate student Giulia Mattia is the recipient of both the 2018 BC Tech Scholarship Award and the 2018 Bill Tam Scholarship Award.  The BC Tech Award support post-secondary students in their goal of pursuing an education in STEM-related fields, and the Bill Tam Award recognizes one high school and one post-secondary student who exemplify the values closely associated with BC Tech and Bill Tam personally: Be of Service, Pay it Forward. Succeed Together.  

According to Jill Tipping, President and CEO of BC Tech, 'there were so many deserving applicants who aren't just excellent students, they're visionary change-makers ... this year's scholarship recipients are truly exceptional'.  Giulia is a Computer Science/Master of Management Dual Degree student with a stellar academic record as well as a passion for encouraging teenage girls to explore technology as a field of study.
