UBC Computer Science Professor Wolfgang Heidrich is elected the recipient of a Humboldt Research Award.
This award is conferred to a researcher in recognition of his/her lifetime achievements in research and 'whose fundamental discoveries, new theories, or insights have had a significant impact on their own discipline'. The award winner is invited to carry out research projects of his/her own choice in cooperation with specialist colleagues in Germany to promote international scientific co-operation.
