Role Overview

The Senior System Test Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software and hardware systems within Motorola’s video product ecosystem. This role involves test planning, on-site testing coordination, automation development, issue investigation, and cross-team collaboration. The successful candidate will lead local testing efforts while working with a global set of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop test plans based on product requirements and real-world usage

  • Set up and configure testing environments for execution

  • Create and maintain automated test scripts and testing tools

  • Perform system integration testing across hardware and software components

  • Troubleshoot and support customer-reported issues in both lab and production environments

  • Coordinate testing and documentation for software releases

  • Mentor team members in test automation and best practices

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering or software development

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field

  • Experience developing automated tests (e.g., using Selenium, Playwright)

  • Strong understanding of code architecture and design principles

  • Experience with C# and/or Python

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to software quality

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work in Agile development environments

Preferred:

  • Experience leading or coordinating test teams

  • Experience supporting customer environments or production systems

Compensation

Target Base Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 CAD
Salary depends on experience, skills, and qualifications.
