Come join Eric Tan as he takes you back to 1979 and walks you through on his passions for both music & video games.  How did his passion for shredding Eddie Van Halen licks to beating everyone's score in Super Mario influence his decisions in his career? Join him as he takes you on his journey of his influences on both music and video game and how he has successfully managed to carve out a successful career in both industries for the past 14 years.
Eric will also share his insights on what it was like to work in London, Hong Kong and China and the cultural differences between them
Last but not least, Eric will offer his advice on how to get involved with, develop & publish your games and how to stand out from the rest citing examples from Gameloft, as well as other competitors such as Popcap.

Bio:
Eric is one of the experienced entertainment executives with 14 years+ in business development, sales management, FMCG, online and mobile entertainment. Originally a UK based Sales Operations Analyst, Eric worked in the National Accounts Department at Warner Music UK, helped forecast and built up the DVD division of Universal Pictures International and went on to build the New Media Operations Department of Universal Music Asia Pacific. Eric also worked at the Regional CFO office of Universal Music Asia Pacific and was heavily involved in the business development initiatives in South East Asia.

In 2007, Eric switched to a startup environment via Omnifone and was involved in the launching of 3MusicStation in Hong Kong, an unlimited music subscription service and subsequently rolled out the same service across Australasia, giving Eric the opportunity to work with telcos, ISPs and hardware manufacturers in the region.

In 2010, Eric went to the booming industry of mobile gaming and joined EA as Head of Key Account Sales. Initially account managed Tencent QQ and then went on to open up other key accounts of Baidu, D.cn. UC Web etc. In under 2 years, Eric was instrumental in diversifying EA's revenue stream away from pay per download and moving into the newer business models of freemium and sponsorship.

Eric took up the position of Country Manager, China at Gameloft in May 2012 and he is in charge of the sales & marketing of its iOS and Android business.
