Speaker and Abstract:

George Moon, M.Sc., P.Eng., Fellow of Calumet College, will present a talk entitled "Leadership can be Learned, Lessons for Success in a Technical World."  The presentation is based on his published book entitled “Lessons Learned: Management and Leadership for a Technical World” which contains stories from his many experiences leading large international software teams. The experiences gained are especially relevant today.  The stories include ones from periods of difficult corporate/institutional times which challenged individuals and corporations alike and periods of rapid corporate/institutional growth. Attendees learn that difficult times define who they are more clearly than in other times of their career and serve them especially well in “good times”. George encourages you to think of your own experiences already learned as he talks and interacts.
