UBC Undergraduate students Khurram Ali Jafery and Xi Bei She win 2016 CRA Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher Award

UBC Computer Science student Khurram Ali Jafery is the recipient of the 2016 CRA Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher Award.  Khurram is a 4th year student in the combined computer science and mathematics honours program, working with Ron Garcia and Joshua Dunfield. His research interests are in the area of type systems for programming languages, and he is focusing on extending the applicability of gradual typing, which combines static and dynamic typing within a single language. 
Another UBC Computer Science student, Xi Bei She, also received an Honourable mention in the CRA competition.
This is the fourth year in a row that a UBC Computer Science student has placed in the CRA competition.
