UBC Computer Science Professor and UBC Faculty of Science Associate Dean Gail Murphy is elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, one of 87 new Fellows in total, and the only one in the field of Computer Science. The award is the highest honour that can be attained by scholars, artists and scientists in Canada.
Gail has developed creative approaches for improving how software developers work. Her work on recommendation systems for software engineering has had significant impact both in research and in practice.
