UBC Computer Science Professor Kevin Leyton-Brown is the recipient of the prestigious Steacie Memorial Fellowship. The award recognizes outstanding young researchers with a promising career in science research. Each fellow receives a research grant of $250,000 and is relieved of teaching and administrative duties for two years. Only six fellowships are awarded across Canada every year.
