The department has planned many exciting activities to welcome new and returning students back to school
With September fast approaching, the first week of classes is on the horizon. UBC’s Department of Computer Science has prepared a full day of events to welcome new and returning undergraduate and graduate students back to school on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025 for Imagine Day.
Orientation schedule for undergraduate students:
10:30AM - 12PM Open House, ICICS/CS West Wing Atrium
10:45AM - 12PM BBQ held by Computer Science Student Society (CSSS), outside ICICS/CS
12:00PM CS Heads Welcome, ICICS/CS West Wing Atrium
12:30PM - 2PM BCS Orientation, Aquatic Ecosystems Research Laboratory (AERL) 120
1:00PM - 2PM Transfer Students Orientation, Hugh Dempster Pavilion (DMP) 301
