Jussi Rantala

Jussi Rantala is a Postdoctoral Researcher who received his PhD in Interactive Technology at the University of Tampere, Finland in 2014. During his time at UBC he studied social touch robots that could sense when a person is looking at them. Addition of gaze tracking could enable new social and emotional interactions between humans and robots. His other research interests include haptics, human-computer interaction, and touch communication.
