Human Centered Technologies

Our Human Centered Technologies research has a very high profile in worldwide, and forms a key part of the Designing for People initiative. Our faculty form a tight-knit group with a highly collaborative style, with many strong links to UBC's Psychology, Engineering, iSchool, and Business programs as well as to industry and academic partners throughout Canada and internationally. Our state-of-the-art tools include augmented and virtual reality gear, fabrication and prototyping equipment, a soundproof living lab for user studies and a user observation suite, and other fun toys ranging from wearables to 3D printers.
