Mark Crowley is a PhD candidate at UBC and will be teaching CPSC211 this summer.
He is also the department TA Coordinator.

Teaching Assistant Co-ordinator

As the TA Co-ordinator I act as a liason between faculty/staff and the TAs of the Computer Science department. I collect evaluations filled out by student undergrads of their TAs to remove offensive and abusive comments and protect anonymity. I work with the Graduate Program Administrator and faculty to assign grad students to TA positions that are appropriate to their background and as close as possible to their preferences.

I assist in developing and maintaining a positive teaching and learning evironment for TAs and their students. This involves talking to TAs having difficulty adjusting to teaching as well as nominating outstanding TAs for departmental and faculty teaching awards.

If you have questions feel free to contact me through my email or directly to tacoordinator on the department domain.
