Some snapshots of my life since I came to Canada (August 2001)
Yesterday July 20, it was the Dragon Boat Festival, Yang Lu took some pictures from the race.
My birthday evening was great, I offered some cakes to people that were in CICSR building around 6 o'clock in the evening (sorry for coming with the cakes that late). Then, I had a good time with some Romanian friends. Special thanks to my dear nice cute pure great friend.
Thanks to everybody that sent me wishes for my birthday. I received
a lot of wishes from all my friends in Romania, and from my friends here
that knew of it. I also received a very nice tulip from my dear brother:
I am back in Vancouver now, I came from California on July 17. As usually,
the first two days after I come back, I can't do much work, because I chat
with people.
I put some pictures on the web (more pictures to come), see the Caltrip
page.
Snow again! Unusual - [snow, March, Vancouver] - it's hard to imagine them all at the same time. It was big fun though - big snowball fights. This picture was taken on a Sunday, if I remember well. The next day, on Monday night, it was another fight, between me and Frank, between 1 and 2 a.m., after Mellow Monday at Koerner's Pub (which means beer).
A skating rink close to the UBC campus. I went there with Alena, Madi
and Dan. Nice place. I'd like to take skating lesons some time.
Snow in Vancouver (UBC Campus) - it doesn't happen too often.
Rose Garden, UBC Campus. A very nice place at one end of the campus (some people call it "end of Canada").
Boat Cruise organized by the International House around downtown Vancouver. Many international students and good food :)
