Besides major chains like Canadian Tires, Mr. Lube, Midas (or even simpler, your dealership), there are indeed some other good auto repair/service options.

  • Mr. Lube usually does very quick services on oil changes.
    • There is one near UBC: 2850 Arbutus St, Vancouver, BC V6J3Y7.
    • Brad wrote: "It was a standard price (not good, not bad) but it was very quick, thorough, and professional. I didn't have an appointment and showed up one weekday afternoon and the wait was only 5 minutes or so as they have several lanes."

  • Minit Tune.
    • Jonatan wrote: "It's not that close, but I have been changing my oil at Minit Tune. Check their website (http://www.minit-tune.com/), they have a coupon for oil/filter change plus fluid checkup, tire rotation and some other stuff for 36.88."

  • Consumer Brake and Alignment.

  • Tremblay Motors.
    • Davor wrote "Tremblay Motors by Granville Island is used by the car coop, so I assume they're pretty decent."
    • Brendan wrote "I've used Tremblay Motors once (because they are the mechanics for the Vancouver car co-op)".
    • Dima wrote “I'd give Tremblay Motors a +1. I've used them once or twice and a number of my friends use them and overal they seem happy.”

  • Art's automobile.
    • Davor wrote "these days I go to Art's automotive at Clark and E Georgia. He does a good job...."

  • The OK Tire shop in Marine Drive.
    • Joseph wrote "a good place to get tires, alignment, brakes, etc. I've been going there for almost 10 years and it's the same experienced crew all the time".
    • OK TIRE & AUTO SERVICE (S.W. MARINE DR). 1006 S.W. Marine Drive Vancouver, BC V6P 5Z3. Hours: Mon-Fri: 8:00-5:30 Sat: 8:00-5:00. Phone: 604-261-6304
