Motivation

• online self-diagnostic tool for age-related dementia (20 minute test)
• 10-year plan to take test at home (current 12-mo wait list)
• Alzheimer's & atypical dementias
• enable clinicians to already have diagnostic, streamline referrals

Development

• prototype - iterative development with older users (4 iterations)
• multicultural-valid test
• no standardised tests online
• CANTAB - neuropsychological (computerised) test
• audio component? stylus pen-based computing for older users?

Test Battery

• memory test (possible copyright concern)
• arithmetic test
• proverb + similarities task (culturally loaded)
• token aphasia test - similarity
• word salad syntax + vocabulary test - semantic and phonemic lures, unambiguous images
• symbol-digit task
• trails task
• visual construction task - snap-to grid?
• mental rotation + imagery task
