  • Dealing with problems alone is hard; talking to others almost always helps a lot.
  • UBC employees and their families can get free short-term counseling (half a dozen sessions?) through Interlock, 604-431-8200, at very short notice. You can also call 1-800-663-9099 24 hours a day to speak to a counsellor right away if you need to. And don't be discouraged if the first person you see isn't a good "fit"; it's no problem to ask for someone different and the benefit from finding someone better for you can be enormous.
