The student on this M.Sc. or Ph.D. project could come from
either a CS / engineering background (with interest in learning
psychological experimental methods) or from Psychology (with
good programming skills and interest in learning at least
simple haptic feedback control methods). Prior familiarity
with haptic feedback and/or robotic controls is a plus, but
not necessary.
The student will undertake a complete thesis research project
related to the topic of subjective perception of haptic
feedback, including literature review, multimodal environment
prototyping (using existing hardware and testing facilities)
and innovative methods of user testing.
