Want to try and sound like you know what you're talking about with your daughter while protecting her? Here are a few great links to learn from.

  • She wants to create a website but you don't want everyone in the world to see it. Learn How to Make a Private Website

Has your daughter tried our Intro to Web Design activity? If so, you can help her save her page - privately! Just follow the steps below.

    • From Thimble, click on "Join Webmaker", then enter your email address.
    • With an account, you can save your page by clicking the "Save" button on the right-hand corner of the screen. You can fill in a name for your website, add a description if you like, and be sure to de-select the "Searchable on webmaker.org" checkbox. What does that step do? Well, it makes sure your page won’t be found by strangers on the public internet. But, when you click save, Thimble gives you the links to view your page, edit your page, and share your page. Only people with the link can access your website!
