Reza
I’m a 5th year Phd student at University of British Columbia, working under the supervision ofs professor Mark Schmidt in Laboratory of Computational Intelligence. My current research is focused on optimization algorithm for machine learning models with big data.
Previously, I graduated as master student from UBC where I was a member of Software Product Lab.

Research Interest

My main research interests in machine learning are stochastic optimization algorithms for ML models, Bayesian inferences, and deep learning. My current projects are mainly about:
  •   Stochastic optimization algorithms with variance reduction
  •   Deep Generative Models
  •   Saddle point problem
