Translating models from one metamodel to another

In this class we'll be discussing one paper:

Paolo Atzeni, Riccardo Torlone: Management of Multiple Models in an Extensible Database Design Tool. EDBT 1996: 79-95. We're reading this paper to discuss some basis for how we'd build ModelGen, another of the model management operators. This operator takes a model in one meta-model and translates it into a model in another meta-model.

This paper is fairly straightforward, however, you may get more mileage out of it by reading the intro, and continuing on until you feel like you need something more concrete. Then check out the example in Section 5.
