Survey of schema merging for data and view integration

For this class we'll be reading one paper:

Carlo Batini, Maurizio Lenzerini, Shamkant B. Navathe: A Comparative Analysis of Methodologies for Database Schema Integration. ACM Computing Surveys 18(4): 323-364 (1986) . We're reading this paper to give us an idea about some of the many different options and considerations that can go into creating a merged schema.

To successfully complete this reading, be ready to write a good response and be prepared for a good in class discussion, I suggest that you read the full paper, but only skim the appendices and don't worry about keeping straight which system does what.
