CPSC 303: Numerical Approximation and Discretization

Clickers/REEF

We will be using clickers/REEF in class to perform polls, quizzes, clicker bonus questions, and measure attendance. See the UBC Wiki for general information.

You can use either an i>clicker remote or your phone/laptop to participate.

Option A: i>clicker remote

Clickers cost $44.95 new / $33.70 used at the UBC Bookstore. Used clickers can be sold back to the UBC Bookstore for 50% of the current retail price.
You need to register your clicker on Connect.
If the ID on your clicker is worn off, don't despair. You can drop by the help desk at Chapman Learning Commons to get it retrieved. This is found on the 3rd floor of the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre.

Option B: phone/laptop

If you don't already have a clicker or don't want to buy one, you can use the iClicker app called REEF. Note that you need to buy a REEF subscription. Prices can be seen here.
You need to register for REEF. Make sure that you enter your Student ID.

If you register late, you'll miss out on some clicker bonus questions.
