An example of a map built autonomously by Spinoza is shown in Figure 10. The grey regions of the map represent areas unseen by the robot. The white regions are areas where it is known that no obstacles exist, and the black regions are locations of known obstacles. This map was made on a grid, each grid representing a cm square. The robot was able to autonomously explore and map out this region in less than 10 minutes.
