Touchable Comfort Objects

Start Year:
2023

We are interested in objects that people engage with through touch interactions, primarily aimed at delivering psychological comfort. Comfort can manifest as feelings of safety or emotional grounding with TCOs assuming a pivotal role,  particularly in emotionally distressing situations. We conducted a large-scale survey (n=137), collected from a diverse population through different channels (within/outside university, online/offline), particularly sampled for five diversity dimensions: Age, Gender, Culture, Lived Experiences, and Educational Background.
