Changing your specialization

If you're currently in a Computer Science specialization in the Faculty of Science  and wish to change to another computer science specialization (e.g. from a CS Combined Major specialization to the CS Major), you can request the change at any time by submitting an online advising request. If, however, you want to change to a CS Honours specialization, you should apply in April.

If you wish to switch to the Major in Cognitive Systems (Computational Intelligence & Design) or to the Major in Mathematical Sciences, apply through the Department's Admissions Process which occurs in April each year. 

If you're currently in a Computer Science specialization and you wish to switch to a combined major within the Faculty of Science, you need to be admitted by that department first. (Please note that some departments have limited seats, and even if Computer Science decides to admit you, the other department may not.) 

If you're currently in a Computer Science specialization and you wish to switch to a double major within the Faculty of Science, you need to obtain approval from the faculty by filling out the appropriate form:
