Abstract
Canada is the northernmost country in America (the continent, not the bully). Join me for a visit to the southernmost country in the continent and in the world: Chile, name that in native tongue means: “where the land ends”. Chile is the longest country in the world and we have everything: oceans, mountains, forests, deserts, glaciers, volcanos, islands, good food and income inequality. We are also rich in natural disasters: earthquakes (world record: 9.5 in 1960, also an 8.8 in 2010), tsunamis, eruptions, fires and for the first time this week a tornado (thank you for that, climate change). And of course, we have political disasters too. So come this Friday to learn more about the cradle of neoliberalism and see what has happened there in the last 50 years with an emphasis in last 5.
