Abstract
On the surface, video replay seems very useful in the officiating of sports. It helps give officials multiple angles, allows them to see things many times and in slow motion, even freezeframing. However, in practice, the reception has been very mixed among fans and players (at least in some sports). I'll be going through the basics of video replay,, discuss the different ways in which it is used, and theorize about why it is not as popular as it seems it should be.
