Abstract
Alistair the Many is the name I chose to release electronic music under when I was ~16, with the idea that if you think your name sounds stupid now, you're not going to feel any worse about it later. I make somewhat-experimental electronic music, blending my family background in avant-garde performance with EDM/techno/breakbeat/90s-ish sounds, and in this UDLS, you can join me in my (virtual) studio as I take apart some tracks from the albums I released this year, showing some of the tricks behind the sounds I get, how I build compositions, and how I hide the fact that many of my songs are just the same 4-5 segments copy-pasted over and over again. I will play the tracks I take apart for context, but if you want to get ahead of the curve, check out my releases (the top 2 albums): https://soundcloud.com/finnhackett
