Ultimate (or Ultimate Frisbee if you prefer) is a fast paced sport that is quickly growing in popularity all over the world. Its simple rules and low equipment costs (no more than $10 for a good disc(frisbee)) make it accessible to many people of all ages and cultures. I’ll talk about the sport, beginning with college students in California throwing pie tins, to the well organized, highly competitive play that exists today. After today’s talk you’ll be able to talk intelligently about throwing a low-release, IO, flick-break; putting up a OI backhand huck; or throwing a crossfield hammer.
