Abstract
Typically US Presidential elections are between incumbent presidents or vice presidents and a challenger, causing each election to be a referendum on the current administration. With George Bush ending his second term next year and his vice president not running to replace him, the field is wide open for the first time in decades and 8 or so new faces on both sides are ready to convince a nation that they have what it takes to lead the United States in a post-9/11, post-Katrina, post-Iraq war, post-Al Gore’s Nobel Prize, post-GMail IMAP support world. From Hillary to Colbert, I present a light-hearted yet informative profile of each candidate and compare their strengths and weaknesses.
