Wine and Meal Pairing Experiment to Evaluate A Wine Recommendation Engine

Have you ever thought about an app that will give you a personalized wine suggestion based upon your preferences? Even better, it will tailor the suggestions according to the meal you are about to eat?

Thinking along the lines, a wine recommendation engine was developed under a collaboration between

Shared Reality Lab and

Ayatana Technolgies , funded by NSERC Engage Research Grant. I had a great time working with

Terence Kao and

Jerome Combet Blanc while doing a user experience study to test the performance of the developed engine.

As a UX researcher, I designed and ran an elaborate user study on four groups, 33 participants in total. Currently, we are in process of compiling our findings in a journal paper. If you would like to have more details, feel free to drop an email.
