Sample CPSC 349 Report

For those of you who are taking CPSC 349 (and not simply attending the talks because you find them interesting), here is a Sample report to give you an idea of the kind of report I expect at the end of the course.

Sample CPSC 449 Proposal

Here are two proposals to give you an idea of how to write your proposal next year.

• The first Sample 449 Proposal we display here is a very thorough proposal. We don't expect you to provide that level of details in general. A shorter proposal with a clear description of the problem, the proposed approach, and a reasonable schedule and deliverables is acceptable.
• The second Sample 449 Proposal is shorter than the first, but it is also very good. It is closer in style to the proposals that we usually get.

We would like the thank the two former CPSC 449 students who allowed us to use their proposals as examples.

Note that most research groups have weekly meetings where they talk about their research. Frequently, talks are given at these meetings. While these are not part of the Honours Research Seminar, you are welcome to attend the meetings of the research group(s) in which you are interested.
