Presentation outline:
- Brief description of the research problem you
are targeting. If not obvious, clarify why it is appropriate for an NLP
course.
- Describe your original research plan
(the
one you proposed). You can describe it as a sequence of steps or as a
graph.
- Describe/Justify any change you made to
your original plan while you have been working on it (if any)
- Describe what part of your (new) plan you
have completed, what part of the plan you are currently working on and
what is left to be done
- For the part of the plan you still have to
work on give an estimate of how much time each step will take.
- Any other info you feel appropriate......
Pedagogical Project Proposal:

- Describe your original plan (the one you proposed): What educational
materials you planned to examine, your learning goals, how you planned to
test your learning goals
- Describe/Justify any change you made to your original plan, while you
have been working on it (if any)
- Describe what part of your (new) plan you have completed, what part of
the plan you are currently working on and what is left to be done
- For the part of the plan you still have to work on give an estimate of
how much time each step will take.
- Any other info you feel appropriate......
Also bring to class a printout of your presentation as well as a short write-up (no more than one page)
summarizing your presentation.

Final Report due by same day
Pedagogical Project Final Presentation and Report:
Use the format you prefer as long as it does not look
drafty.
- Describe the advanced topic you have selected and why (topic was
either not covered in class or was only covered partially/superficially
covered)
- Describe the educational materials that informed your project (e.g.,
textbook chp., tutorials, wikipedia, MOOCs ….) and explain why you selected
it.
- Present your lecture plan about the selected topic. Specify Learning
Goals. Show sample slides / animations / videos
- Present and justify the assignment you have developed to test the
learning goals and work out the solution (provide a grading scheme if
appropriate).
- Discuss what was especially challenging and what you would do given more
time
The report should cover all the points above. You can
provide auxilliay material like slides and the assignment. Use the format you
prefer as long as it does not look drafty.
Also bring to class a printout of your presentation and of your
final report (also send me your report in pdf)
