Call for Participation
We welcome paper submissions (2-4 pages), system demos (1-2 pages), and panel proposals (1-2 pages) that can
Identify key research areas and challenges in designing and developing intelligent user interface technologies for text analysis.
Identify practical applications that can leverage IUI technologies to benefit text analysis
Identify unclassified data sets for evaluation and propose activities to create common standards
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Novel, intelligent interfaces for text analytics
Visual and interactive text analytics
Collaborative visual text analytics
Scalable visual text analytics
Visual representations and interaction techniques to allow users to see, explore, and understand large amounts of textual information
Techniques to support production, presentation, and dissemination of text analysis results to a variety of audiences
Data representations and transformations that convert conflicting and dynamic textual data in ways that support visualization and analysis
User studies concerning intelligent interfaces for text analysis
Evaluation methods for text analysis techniques and systems
Please follow the same formatting guidelines specified by the main ACM IUI conference at their call for papers. Submissions can be up to 4 pages (Workshop paper) or 2 pages (Demo papers or panel proposals). Some workshop papers will be selected to present at the workshop. Papers should be prepared for blind review.
Proceedings consisting of accepted papers, demos and position papers will be published on CD and provided to attendees.
