continuing work on implementing and testing event interface using model browser, then will start integration with PlaceMedia
added new event methods (add subscription, get subscriptions)
added event test jsp, servlet etc for prototype events to browser
model is database backed
getting context from browser works now
made small changes to model for eventTypes and eventNames and associated rules
added support for login/out, getting events to model UI (not done)

Notes:

may want to serialize Parameter to XML so it can be displayed easily (on context value return and getting events)
need to have a clean break between prototype and platform - more refactoring
need client SDK for facade as well with required types
integration components should live in a separate JAR file

refactoring all "callService" and invoke calls to use Parameters rather than objects, all the way down to the service level.
Must ensure that no Java 5 code is used in files where XDoclet is required.
