Health Insurance Info

All insurance is offered through the provincial-run MSP (Medical Services Plan).Apply for this yourself using https://www.healthservices.gov.bc.ca/exforms/msp/index.html#Enrollment You must wait 3 months for this to start.

You need private insurance during this time, eg COBRA from the US. BCAA offers minimal health insurance (emergencies/accidents only) for about $2/day.

UBC provides supplemental insurance, but this won't kick in until after your MSP coverage starts.
