DISK MOVE (Dave Brent):

• everything is done but not wiped out yet - will give a week's notice before doing this

SPACE (Dave Brent):

• same amount of space as before plus some raid space
• beta raid space available everywhere
• there have been a number of requests for purchase but need to know amount of space required
• create a wikki page and a people directory

PRINTER/SCANNER:

• getting a new printer has been suggested and Dave Brent will check out the cost
• let tech staff know if printer is being moved
• paper is jamming in the Canon copier - Evelyn will call for service

OLD HW:

• remove all old hardware - Dave Brent will take care of it

READING GROUP:

• schedule meeting for the first Tuesday of the month
• use Bioinformatics reading time
• use LCI format: meeting in the first half and talk in the second half

WEBPAGE (Piam):

• new page done and URL will be emailed to beta-lab
• undergrad students want to volunteer for project work

SEATING POLICY (Dave Tompkins):

• seating is done by seniority (i.e. number of years at UBC)
• Chris Fawcett, Frank Hutter, Ashiqur KhudaBukhsh and Lin Xu are moving up from the LCI Lab
• Dave will assign lab space
