Combined Honours

Rules for All Computer Science Honours Programs

In order to be admitted to a Computer Science Honours program, a student must meet the following conditions:

  • Have taken at least 30 credits per Winter session up to that point
  • Have not failed any courses
  • Have an overall average of at least 76% in first year, and at least 72% in every session after first year (75% for the Combined Honours program with Biology, or with Microbiology & Immunology).

Once admitted to a Computer Science Honours program, a student must continue to satisfy the following conditions:

  • Maintain a sessional average of at least 72% (75% for the Combined Honours program with Biology, or with Microbiology & Immunology).
  • Take a minimum of 30 credits per Winter session, or 15 credits per study term for students in the co-op program.
  • Not fail any course

Combined Honours in Atmospheric Science and Computer Science

Apart from the general rules (above) that apply to all Honours programs, the application process is the same as that for the Computer Science Majors program.

Combined Honours in Biology and Computer Science

Apart from the general rules (above) that apply to all Honours programs, the application process is the same as for the Combined Majors program with Biology. In order to continue in the program, the student's Winter session average must be at least 75%.

Combined Honours in Computer Science and Mathematics

Apart from the general rules (above) that apply to all Honours programs, the application process is the same as that for the Computer Science Majors program.

Combined Honours in Computer Science and Microbiology & Immunology

Apart from the general rules (above) that apply to all Honours programs, the application process is the same as for the Combined Majors program with Microbiology & Immunology. In order to continue in the program, the student's Winter session average must be at least 75%.

Combined Honours in Computer Science and Physics

Apart from the general rules (above) that apply to all Honours programs, the application process is the same as that for the Computer Science Majors program.

Combined Honours in Computer Science and Statistics

Apart from the general rules (above) that apply to all Honours programs, the application process is the same as that for the Computer Science Majors program.
