UBC Ranks Second in 2011 ACM Regional Competition

Five UBC teams participated in the  ACM 2011 Regional Competition on Saturday, November 5, at Simon Fraser University.  One of the teams places 2nd at the competition, outranking universities such as UC Berkeley, University of Washington and SFU. UBC has qualified for the ACM World Finals 7 out of the past 8 years and given the teams' strong performances, there is a high chance UBC will advance to the 2012 World Finals in Warsaw, Poland.

17th -- UBC+: Terence Lin (CS), Paul Liu (Math/Physics), Karlming Chen (Math)

28th -- UBC~: Perry Liu (CS), Ryan Chung (CS), Angus Lim (Engineering Physics)
