Christine received her Master’s degree in Management Studies at Carleton University in Ottawa in May 1997.  Her thesis work focused on managerial coordination between hardware and software developers during complex electronic system design.  Christine was supervised by Professor John Callahan of the School of Business and Systems and Computer Engineering, Carleton University, Ottawa.  While working on her thesis Christine presented a paper at the 1996 Fifth International Conference on Management of Technology in Miami, Florida where she won the best student paper award.  She received her B.B.A. at Washington State University in 1992.

Christine was the Assistant formalWARE project Director.  Her main tasks on the formalWARE project were to ensure that there was support and communication between all formalWARE project members.  Her everyday tasks included:

  • overhauling/updating the formalWARE web site,
  • maintaining the "effort tracking" process and,
  • generating weekly, monthly and quarterly progress reports for the formalWARE project.
Ultimately, her role was to ensure that the formalWARE project came to a successful conclusion in March, 1998.   Part of bringing formalWARE to a successful conclusion was to ensure that the sponsors got what they were expecting as results  -- and that the results were delivered in a manner that were understandable and useful.
