Shadow Reaching

Here we introduce "Shadow Reaching," an interaction technique designed specifically for very large wall displays. The technique goes beyond mouse cursors and keyboards, and instead employs users' shadows within the workspace itself for interaction. The theory behind this approach is that shadows are very natural embodiments that users understand and know how to manipulate. There is a further advantage that shadows can be used to reach long distances on large displays.
