Have lunch on us and learn from a pioneer in the industry!  Jim Udall is co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of QuickMobile - the leader in mobile solutions for the meetings and events space. Jim is a veteran of both the personal computer revolution as well as the Internet revolution, with a colourful career spanning over 35 years in high-technology R&D. Jim has participated in five startups, of which two he personally co–founded. One was purchased and this led him to accept the position of Chief Architect at the Nokia Mobile Phones Product Creation Centre in Vancouver. There he led the drive to higher functionality mobile phones focusing on the delivery of media rich services in the mobile environment.

At QuickMobile, where they continually hire UBC's top technical students, Jim oversees the development of mobile technologies that are transforming business cultures.

Join us for this hands-on one-and-a-half-hour workshop that will expose you to techniques and methodologies that will help you develop of sophisticated mobile applications in a network-server environment. Understand the role of mobile websites and learn how to master XML Encryption and Web-Service methodologies that support collaborative social environments.
