We hope you're having a good last few days of classes. As a small end of term celebration FoWCS is having a computer science ladies dinner at Mahoney's on campus this Thursday!

This a great opportunity to get together with friends, meet new ones in classes or research and to share your interests with other great women.

Moyra Ditchfield Receives 2013 UBC President's Staff Award

UBC Computer Science Director of Facilities Moyra Ditchfield is the recipient of the prestigious UBC President's Staff Award.  The award recognizes her leadership in the Computer Science Department and the wider UBC community, as well as her personal achievements and contributions to the vision and goals of the University. UBC has over 6,700 staff and only 10 President's Staff Awards are given out each year.

CS Alumnae Juanita Lohmeyer

UBC Computer Science Alumnae Juanita Lohmeyer is one of six recipients of the 2013 UBC Alumni Achievement Volunteer Leadership Award.  Juanita has been a mentor in the Computer Science Tri-mentoring Program for the past decade and has participated in numerous student development activities as panelist, speaker and facilitator.  She also coaches the UBC Executive MBA Program.

Gail Murphy and Davor Çubranić Won 2013 ICSE Most Influential Paper Award
